Deveraux & Deloitte has merged with Academic Knowledge.

Reasons for the merge

Both Deveraux & Deloitte and Academic Knowledge are trading names of the same company.

Deveraux & Deloitte has operated as a research house alongside Academic Knowledge for the past 5+ years.

Initially, Deveraux & Deloitte was set up to differentiate our American and International researchers from our UK researchers but over time, the two groups have become intermingled, to the point where there is no distinction between a Deveraux & Deloitte researcher and an Academic Knowledge researcher.

All work for the past 5+ years has been offered out to both sets of researchers and both groups of researchers have been treated exactly the same.

There is, therefore, no need for two research houses to exist.

To simplify matters, both research houses are merging and Academic Knowledge will now serve both Academic Knowledge researchers and Deveraux & Deloitte researchers.

When will this happen?

The change will take place over the next few weeks in the run-up to our online database going live. Existing writers will notice shortly that pages from the Deveraux & Deloitte website will redirect to the corresponding pages on Academic Knowledge. You’ll still continue to get emails from Deveraux & Deloitte until the launch of our online database.

What do I need to do?

If you're a researcher, you'll receive details of the online database as soon as it goes live. You don't need to do anything further.

If you're not an existing researcher but you're looking for writer work, apply to Academic Knowledge (click here to apply for writer jobs).

I'm a writer for D & D - what does this mean for me?

There are a number of changes that you need to be aware of.

* You will need to make a note of the Academic Knowledge phone number +44 (0) 115 966 7961 (we will also keep the existing Deveraux & Deloitte number for the time being). This goes to the same office as before, and is answered by the same people.

* Your contract will be with Academic Knowledge rather than Deveraux & Deloitte but this is in name only - the contents of the contract are exactly the same and you are actually working for a different trading name of the same company so you'll be dealing with the same people that you were dealing with before

* After the online database goes live, most of our contact with you will be through the online system, but we will still keep some email addresses and these will of course be '@academicknowledge' rather than '@deverauxdeloitte.com'.

* The researcher website for Academic Knowledge is http://www.academicknowledge.com. Just visit the site and click 'Writer Login'. The user name and password are the same for the time being (you'll get a personal login when the database goes live).

Things that will *not* be affected:

* All of our policies and procedures are exactly the same for all researchers

* The number of briefs available will not change - we have always offered out all briefs to both research houses

* The rates of pay for both Academic Knowledge and Deveraux & Deloitte researchers have always been the same, and this will not change (any bonuses or pay increases will be applied to all researchers)

* Your researcher payments will still show on your bank statement as 'DEVER + DEL DEGR' as before

* If you updated your details for us recently, you don't need to do this again - we've got them

* We are still in the process of developing the online database and will keep you informed of any changes that affect you in respect of this
